The Daughters of the American Revolution research their ancestry and from that found 3 men buried in Burnt Hill Cemetery in Williamstown who fought in the Revolutionary War.

Sunday they honored those men with an early Memorial Day service.
And the service was patriotic indeed.

Sons of the American Revolution presented the colors and a three gun salute.

Each grave is now adorned with a wreath to honor these soldiers.
Members say its important to remember where it all began and how those sacrifices are still being made.

"I think that we need to pass it on to others how important it is and to know the sacrifices that were made and sacrifices are still made today in Iraq and Afghanistan and they have through history. Our country has made great sacrifices for our public to have the freedom that is has," says Blennerhassett DAR Chapter Regent Dina Braniff.
