UPDATE 8/5/2014 5:20 PM
A woman is in a Charleston hospital listed in serious condition and another patient was transported to Camden Clark following a boating accident Tuesday afternoon.
Fortunately, emergency responders believe everyone's going to be okay.
It happened around 2:30.
A woman suffered serious injuries when the boat she was in crashed into a tree on the riverbank, according to the Division of Natural Resources.
The woman was alert and conscious but she was in a lot of pain.
She said she was having difficulty breathing.
She was flown to a hospital in Charleston.
Meanwhile, a man was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center.
This was all just a mile or two north of the Belleville Dam.
The location gave responders some trouble.
"They were about a mile and a half above from this ramp.
Blennerhassett Volunteer Fire Department put a boat in the water and relayed us up to the incident where they transported them back down here to the boat ramp," says John Casto, with the WVDNR.
Police are not releasing the names of the victims at this time, but they say the man and woman share the same last name.
Pond Creek Volunteer Fire and St. Joe's EMS also responded.
Authorities are responding to a boating accident near the Belleville Locks and Dam.
They say two people are hurt.
Authorities say one of the injured was taken by helicopter to the hospital, while the other was transported by ambulance.
We have a reporter on the scene and we'll bring you more details as they become available.
