Around 40 teams support the hospital and patients in our area by playing golf.
Celebrating golf and health care in our community, Camden Clark Medical Center holds their 27th annual golf outing.
This year the donations all go to the pulmonary fund, focusing on those with chronic lung disease.
"We are second only to the state of Oklahoma per capita, West Virginia, in numbers of those suffering from chronic lung disease," says Kim Couch, Executive Director of the Camden Clark Foundation. "So it's very important that we take care of people in our community that are suffering from that terrible disease and its many different forms. It can be COPD, emphysema, allergies even."
An exciting part of the day was the helicopter ball drop.
Mark Mondo, with Mondo Construction flew in on a helicopter and dropped golf balls.
The closest to the hole wins $2,500, with second and third prizes as well.
