Civitan Park walking track gets a makeover with a repaving courtesy of Kraton.

Belpre Mayor Mike Lorentz says the Women's Club built the track years ago and this year with many repairs needed around town they were concerned how to get enough money to pay for both.

So they went looking for help for the track -- Kraton stepped up to the plate and asked for two or three estimates and they'll do it.

"The asphalt company's getting ready, they're filling in the cracks now and this whole track will be refurbished like new and they paid for the whole thing to help the Women's Club out in the City of Belpre," Lorentz says.

According to the mayor, the track is busy from 8 a.m. until 10 or 11 at night.

It's one of the busiest parks in Washington County, so keeping it a viable commodity for the city is very important.

The repaving will do just that.
