LAVALETTE, W.V. (AP) - A note to supporters of House Speaker Rick Thompson: He's not really running for governor, despite what that return address on the invitation to next week's fundraiser says.

Thompson campaign manager Mike Plante says invitations sent to about 500 supporters incorrectly listed "Rick Thompson for Governor" as the sender on the envelope. Plante said Thompson is running for re-election to the House of Delegates and supports Gov.
Earl Ray Tomblin's re-election as governor.

Plante said he inadvertently used a template from last year's Democratic gubernatorial primary, which Thompson lost to Tomblin. Plante said he called Tomblin's chief of staff and apologized for the mistake. He said new invitations with the correct information
on the envelope will be sent.
