Accused of raping a nine year old multiple times, a man is indicted in Washington County.
Daniel Pottmeyer faces three counts of rape and one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
Detectives say between January and May of this year, Pottmeyer sexually assaulted a nine year old girl multiple times.
Washington and Wood County deputies arrested Pottmeyer at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport, where he works.
"Through an investigation by the sheriff's detectives and children's services, corroborative evidence was located, and it included photographs of the child and Mr. Pottmeyer, engaging in sexual conduct," says Washington County Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Rings.
Pottmeyer was one of 19 people indicted Friday by the Washington County Grand Jury.
Daniel Pottmeyer is wanted out of Washington County on two first degree felony rape charges.
Detectives say between January and May of this year, Pottmeyer sexually assaulted a 9 year-old female relative multiple times.
Washington and Wood County deputies arrested Pottmeyer at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport where he works.
Pottmeyer is in the Wood County Holding Center awaiting arraignment on fugitive from justice charges.
He will then face extradition to Ohio.
Attempts to reach an airport spokesperson were unsuccessful.
