It's an annual tradition commemorating those risk their lives for others.
A bell tolls for each death..
Lieutenant Kevin Siers says it reminds them that any day could be their day.
"It's a brotherhood and when you see members of all the different fire departments gathered together to commemorate someone who has passed on it does give you a good feeling to know your service is appreciated," says Lt. Siers.
Five men were honored at the ceremony. All died of natural causes. Two served with the Parkersburg Fire Department and one from each of the Pond Creek, Eastwood, and Washington Bottom Volunteer Fire Departments.
