An author wants to commemorate the life of one of the most decorated athletes in the Valley's history and he's asking for your help.
A biography is in the works on Parkersburg High School alum Alfred Earle "Greasy" Neale.
"Greasy" Neale died back in 1973 after a football hall of fame coaching career with Marietta College, WVU and most notably, the Philadelphia Eagles, where he won two NFL championships.
"Greasy" also had talent on the baseball field.
He won the infamous 1919 World Series when he played outfield for the Reds.
Sadly, author Douglas Matt Brothers believes his memory is starting to fade.
So if you have any insight on the life of "Greasy" Neale, give Brothers a call at (857) 234-9540.
