More than five pounds of marijuana in a dozen separate packages.
The U.S. Postal Service and local law enforcement team up to find the man meant to get it.
Parkersburg Police say investigators with the Aggressive Crime Enforcement Task Force (ACE) and U.S. Postal Inspectors delivered a suspicious box Friday to 147 Murphytown Circle in Davisville, finding 5 ½ pounds of suspected marijuana in 12 separate packages.
Mathew Gonzales was arrested, charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and obstructing.
Police say once the homeowner accepted the package, Gonzales tried to keep that person from talking to investigators.
According to police, the package was meant for Gonzales and the homeowner was not charged.
Gonzales failed to post a $50,000 bond and is currently in the North Central Regional Jail.
