A well-known Parkersburg physician has died.
Chances are, if you grew up in Parkersburg in the 1950s, ‘60s, ‘70s or ‘80s, you either went to see Doctor Robert Crooks, or your friends did.
He was a practicing physician for more than 40 years.
But he was much more than that.
He was a historian, an artist, and a community leader.
Doctor Crooks died Tuesday at the age of 91. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria, children and grandchildren.
