A man is killed in a crash, but his passenger leaves the scene before police get there.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating this fatal accident and not much information is being released at this time.
It happened around 7:30 Saturday morning in Washington County.
Police say 29 year old Matthew Strode of McConnelsville was driving a Chevy Truck on Reed Road.
They say he drove off the left side of the road, hit a tree and rolled over into a creek bed.
Strode was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say his passenger left the scene and they do not know who that person is or if they are hurt.
There's no word if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash, and it's unknown if either were wearing seat belts.
