A crash Thursday in Athens County kills one man and sends another person to the hospital.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says it happened around 10:20 Thursday morning on County Road 33 in the Shade area of Athens County.
According to the report, 53-year-old Ronald Hedrick was driving eastbound when he lost control in a curve, sliding off the road.
Overcorrecting, he then slid left of center, hitting another car driven by 69-year-old Kurt Raschke
Raschke, who troopers say was not wearing a seatbelt, died as a result of the crash.
Officials say Hedrick was treated at the scene for his injuries, while his passenger was taken to the hospital with minor ones.
Charges are pending.
Route 33 was closed for about 90 minutes following the crash.
