Marietta's Earth Day celebration educates the community about small changes that can make a big difference environmentally.

Informational booths by local groups are a main part of the event, but there's something fun for visitors too!

Gourd painting and free giveaways attract all ages. The event highlights the small changes society can make that as a whole will help sustain the planet.

"It is a great opportunity for people to come together and realize that their efforts are not alone. That we're really trying to do these things together. And from one generation to the next we're trying to really instill some values to protect the earth and build a healthy community," says Earth Day Planning Committee member Reverend Kathryn Hawbaker.
