Author Debra Conner held a signing Sunday afternoon for her book, "Margaret's Ghost and Other True and Tragic Stories of Blennerhassett Island."
Connor says she doesn't want to just tell a good ghost story, but to share true and lesser known stories about the island's history, while bringing to light some of the more tragic parts.
She's been portraying Margaret Blennerhassett since 1998 and has learned what appeals to the audiences.
"There's a need for something more visually interesting about Blennerhassett Island. And there's a need for something that is visually rich and appealing to the eye," says Conner.
Her husband, Glenn, did the graphics for the book.
"Margaret's Ghost and Other True and Tragic Stories of Blennerhassett Island" can be purchased at the Blennerhassett Museum, Campus Martius Museum in Marietta, or online.
