More Video...

Serious concerns about the abuse factor for a new drug.

It's called Zohydro.

Still, dealers and abusers seem to find ways around the best tamper resistant designs and that has law enforcement very aware of this new drug.

The drug is in transition, meaning it could be in the pharmices any day now.

It's approved by the FDA for people with chronic pain.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says this drug is stronger than any other.

It's an oral form of straight Hydrocodone.

Right now health officials, many doctors and law enforcement are fighting the placement of this drug into the system.

They are concerned about how powerful it is.

Major Brian Schuck with the Washington County Sheriff's Office says is there Hydrocodone out there in Vicodin, for example, but there are other medications mixed in with it

"And from that stand point, that's just gonna be on the streets. No matter what drug comes out it eventually makes it why to the streets because there is too much money to be made off of it. There are too many people that are desiring it, craving it, wants to try it," he says.

He says this medication is so powerful that two capsules could make an adult overdose and die and only one capsule could make a child or someone younger do the same.

Schuck says right now there is no way for them to stop the release of this drug.

Basically it's a waiting game until they are going to overdose calls.

And the Major Crimes Task Force is out fighting the drug on the street.
