High school basketball players looking to play on the collegiate level participated in a special camp Sunday.
Taking place at Parkersburg High School, players from not only the Mid-Ohio Valley, but also Kentucky, Virginia and North Carolina were invited.
Scouting services and division two and division three college coaches were in attendance to see what skills are out there.
Organizers say the day was a fun way to gain steps towards the next level in basketball.
"Playing basketball in college I went to a lot of these events. It was a great chance to get recruited," says Nathan Conley, an organizer of the camp. "And obviously there's so many kids out there nowadays that are trying to play college sports that I wanted to bring an event like this back to Parkersburg.
The camp started at 10:00 and ran until 6:00, beginning with a workout followed by a dunk contest.
