We are in the middle of tax season.
That April 15 deadline is coming soon.
The Ohio tax commissioner was in Marietta Monday talking jobs, momentum and transformation.
talking about the tax reform and getting through the budget in Ohio, tax commissioner Joe Testa says Ohio is on the right track.
Job creation is up, unemployment has dropped.
But he says personal income tax is still too high.
So another topic helping that is the positive impact of oil and gas.
"So we think that's the right thing to do in Ohio, so we want to try, the governor feels very strongly, that we want to try to leverage this, phenomenal natural resource to help benefit Ohians, to help us, among other things, to drive personal income tax rates, continue to drive them down, to make Ohio more competitive over all," he says.
Many local officials came to hear Testa speak.
Testa stressed Ohio is recovering and getting stronger.
