Marietta's Ohio Chautauqua is only two weeks away. Organizers are still looking for volunteers and a list of events are finalized.

It's a five day event offering work shops, shows, and a small insight to when Ohio was the western frontier.

It all starts June 19, 2012.

"It's just a rare opportunity to see all these historical characters in one place. You know if you went anywhere else you'd probably pay a lot of money and this is a free event to the whole community which allows you to be up close and personal with the scholars and their research and what they do," explains head coordinator of the event, Laurie McKain.

For more information on the event or volunteering contact Laurie McKain at 740-376-4380.
