Some real "boys of summer" get to show their skills for some former big leaguers.
Kids Wednesday got to hit and field at the "Reds Legends Camp" held by the Marietta VFW.
Among those legends on hand was 1990's star Bret Boone, who says this is what the game is all about.
"I was fortunate enough to play this game for a long time, and I've been to World Series, All-Star Games," says Boone, who also won several Gold Gloves, "but some of my greatest memories were playing Little League when I was 12. There's only a select few that will play at a high level. So it's not life and death."
Baseball has been a family affair for Boone.
His brother, father and grandfather all were major leaguers.
