UPDATE: 12/30/2012

After a week on strike, they're calling it quits and heading back to work.

At 11:00 Sunday morning, RJF International Chemical Union Workers Local 343c voted to end their strike.

Everyone is to report to work starting Tuesday at midnight.

Local union president Tim McNutt says the members realized the timing isn't ideal for a strike.

Union members approved a contract from RJF International.

McNutt says there was no change to this contract proposal.

Union members initially voted to go on strike last Sunday due to language in the contract and concerns about workers losing seniority rights.

McNutt says, international union members are planning on meeting this week to discuss possible negotiations. He says if an agreement isn't reached, the union will strike next Tuesday at midnight.

143 employees are being affected by the strike. International union leaders are withholding comments for the time being, pending new negotiations.
