A school bus crash Monday afternoon backed up traffic on Route 47 near West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
Luckily no one was hurt.
Sgt. James Stout with the West Virginia State Police says it all started when the bus stopped for road congestion, but a pickup truck didn't, causing damage to its front bumper and rear of the bus.
A third car following the pickup swerved to avoid the collision and ended up in the ditch.
Three students and two employees on the bus weren't hurt.
They did however, check out the driver of the pickup, who was shook up from the impact.
She may receive a citation, but the accident is still under investigation.
"It's getting close to the end of school and good weather, people just need to make sure they're paying attention,” Stout says. “It's easy to get your mind distracted, but you should try to concentrate on the road."
