Blues music and gumbo were on the menu Tuesday night at the Children's Home Society fundraiser.
Bill Wharton - otherwise known as the "Sauce Boss" - traveled from Florida to Christ United Methodist Church in Parkersburg to provide an evening of fun for the Children's Home Society of West Virginia.
The Sauce Boss plays his guitar and drums all while singing, dancing, and cooking a big pot of gumbo, and on top of all that he shares personal and real life stories to inspire others.
"It's been a great honor that he's coming to put on a free show and make a giant pot of gumbo for us," says Lisa Parsons with the Children's Home Society.
The Sauce Boss travels all around the country where he performs for various causes like homeless programs, veterans, and disaster survivors.
