The number of snow days made test preps tough this year.
Wood County Schools is working hard to make sure everyone is on the same page with the WEST Test.
It assesses just how much students learned during the school year.
Testing is an important part of that.
Judy Johnson, director of curriculum, says it's been tough and you can't replace the student-teacher interaction.
"Some are having parent volunteers come in and to help students, to conference with students on their writing and giving them more individual attention so that we can be very focused," she says.
Johnson says we have great teachers doing great work in Wood County Schools and parents that support that work and care about their student's education, but there are some things beyond their control, like the weather.
