Update 5/30/2014 4:05 P.M.

The suspect in a fatal car crash is allowed supervised contact with one of his children.

Zachary Lee Taylor of Wirt County was indicted earlier this month for the death of his older son, in a single-car accident on Butcher Bend road earlier this year.

A condition of his bond was that he not have any contact with his younger son, who was injured in the march accident.

Circuit Judge J.D. Beane Friday modified that order, allowing Taylor to have supervised contact, as it is allowed by the Wirt County family court system.

A September trial date is set in a March fatal accident.

Zachary Lee Taylor appeared in court Tuesday afternoon, pleading not guilty to four counts.

They involve the death of one of his two sons from the March 11th crash on Butcher Bend Road, and injury to the other.

A Friday morning hearing is scheduled on a condition of his bond, posted last week, that Taylor not have contact with his surviving son, Lance.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges against him, which involve driving under the influence, and driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher.

UPDATE 03/13/2014 12:40 PM

An investigation continues into what is now a fatal car crash Tuesday night.

The Wood County crash team is awaiting toxicology reports, but also plans to study the vehicle's data recorder.

Officials say one of the victims, 7-year-old Landon Taylor, died late Wednesday afternoon.

The 29-year old father and driver, Zachary Taylor, is under evaluation at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Meanwhile, investigators are looking into toxicology reports to see if alcohol could've been a factor.

"We are in the process now of getting blood results," says Sgt. Brett Pickens with the Wood County Sheriff's Office. "We suspected alcohol may play a contributing factor in this, so we did a search warrant (Tuesday) night to obtain blood from the driver. That has been done, and we're waiting on those results."

A third victim - Taylor's 5-year old son Lance - remains in the pediatric unit at Camden Clark Medical Center.

Sgt. Pickens says the data recorder might help answer several questions about the accident, including how fast the car was going at that time.
