A volunteer fire department jeopardized by a person trusted to run it.
A major investigation in Meigs County.
The treasurer of the Tuppers Plains Volunteer Fire Department, 45-year-old Pamela Newell, was arraigned Wednesday morning on one count of theft, a fourth degree felony.
The Tuppers Plains woman is accused of stealing money from the department.
The Meigs County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of missing money last year that lead them to Newell.
She was released on personal bond Wednesday.
The investigation continues.
