Fighting the war on drugs.
Another task force in Ohio is just beginning, but it's already very successful.
Attorney General Mike DeWine was in Meigs County Friday talking to the media about the Meigs and Gallia County Major Crimes Task Force.
It's a big day for this new task force.
Attorney General DeWine was there as they displayed and literally laid everything out on the table, showing what the task force has done since its creation just around five months ago.
Twenty-seven total arrests and evidence including crack cocaine, pot, heroin, different nacotics, cash, illegal guns and more.
This new task for was funded by the attorney general to fight this war on drugs.
The force says they were surprised, in a good way, at how much they were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time.
But this also shows the importance and great need of this work in the community.
Meigs County Sheriff Keith Wood says he gives complete notice to anyone out there doing or selling drugs that you are being watched, they are watching you and you are going to get caught.
