UPDATE: Two Severely Hurt in Two Car Crash in Wirt County

Two people are hospitalized with severe injuries after a crash in Wirt County.

it happened around 1:30 Thursday on Route 14, south of Mineral Wells.

The Wirt County Sheriff's Office says a Nissan Sentra hydroplaned and went left of center, hitting a Chevy Traverse.

There were a total of five people in both cars, all taken to the hospital.

The sheriff's office says two people who were trapped in the Sentra had severe injuries.

The accident is under investigation.

Names of those involved are not available at this time.

Wood County dispatchers say authorities are responding to a two car crash in Wirt County.

They say it happened south of Mineral Wells on Route 14, before Elizabeth.

There are multiple patients, according to dispatchers, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
