UPDATE 5/8/2014 12:00 PM
A fire in Ravenswood last month sent two women to the hospital, seriously burning one.
Now we're learning one woman died.
56-year-old Kathy Harding had been a burn patient in a Huntington hospital since the fire.
The state fire marshal's office says she lost the battle with her wounds Monday.
She was dragged by neighbors from her burning home in Ravenswood.
Another woman suffered less serious injuries in the fire.
Two women are hospitalized following a house fire in Jackson County, West Virginia.
It was put out in about 15 minutes.
The fire was contained to the kitchen and living room of the house.
The Ravenswood Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched at 8:15 Thursday morning.
One woman was flown to the hospital with serious burns, while the other woman was taken to a Parkersburg hospital.
Her condition isn't being released, and neither are their names.
Investigators believe the fire may have started because one of the women was smoking while using an oxygen tank.
