After a long remodeling project the Veterans Museum of The Mid Ohio Valley held its grand re opening Saturday afternoon.
Over the past three months, the museum added more displays, brought in new pictures, and overall added more space.
With all that extra room, each object now has a personal story of a veteran to go along with it.
"We need people to understand what the men and women did for this country. They've sacrificed so much and they are still sacrificing to this day with the memories they have and the pictures they see in their mind when they go to sleep at night. And we need to make sure that we honor them the right way and that their stories are told", says project and events coordinator, Angela Shoemaker.
Shoemaker received the "History Hero Award" today for her work at the museum.
Also in attendance at the reopening were some local veterans.
