You see them lining the course in yellow and red shirts ready to help in any way possible.
Alice Terry has been volunteering for 7 years. She and her family give their time to the race in memory of her late husband, who ran the half marathon several times.
"It opened my eyes to the amount of work these people come here to do. And how much it's appreciated and how much the runners appreciate it. So i just think it's a really nice thing for them to do and I really enjoy doing it," says Terry.
A tent housing massage tables and cots waited for runners after the finish line to help them cool down after the long distance race.
