Area and state lawmakers Thursday presented $100,000 in grants to Pressley Ridge, for recently-completed roof repairs.
"It took a great deal of money to do this job; close to $200,000," says Pressley Ridge Executive Director Angie Hamilton. "I think it was a lot of major repairs that were done, so we're very appreciative of it."
"We got $25,000 from the governor, $25,000 from the state Senate and $25,000 from the House," says Sen. Donna Boley (R-Pleasants). "Then the county commission rose the other $25,000."
Pressley Ridge opened in 1996, at the former White Oak Village at Mountwood Park.
The Wood County center is the largest of several facilities Pressley Ridge operates in West Virginia.
