He's a West Virginia trooper with local ties. And he's received the agency's highest honor.
Trooper Brad Lowe of the Logan detachment was among those honored last week, at a ceremony recognizing state police employees for exceptional performance of their duties.
Trooper Lowe, a native of Williamstown, completed hundreds of investigations, resulting in 86 felony arrests, and confiscated nearly a million dollars in illegal drugs.
According to the Logan Banner newspaper, he's also a member of the special response team and a field training officer.
The event honored both civilian and uniformed state police members.
