A Belpre woman is facing charges after giving false information to police relating to the disappearance of Carl Travis. Police say she implicated a man, saying he was involved.
Earlier this month, Patsy Hasley told police her grandchild's father was involved in Travis' disappearance. She said he was possibly armed.
Police investigated and determined the allegations were false.
A summons was requested for Hasley for three first degree misdemeanor counts of falsification.
She'll also have to pay restitution of nearly 500 dollars for the wages paid to detectives during their investigation into the false information.
Travis' autopsy results haven't been released by authorities. His body was found in the river two months after his disappearance.
