A young boy dies in an ATV accident.
It happened Monday in Meigs County.
The Gallipolis Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says it happened around 5:30 p.m. on State Route 124, near mile post 37.
The patrol says 11-year-old Darren Roush was driving an ATV westbound, when he went left of center.
They say he was hit by Amanda Ashworth, who was driving a Chevy Malibu car eastbound.
Both Roush and Ashworth are from Racine.
Roush was taken to Jackson General Hospital in Ravenswood, where he later died.
Ashworth was treated on the scene for minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
