UPDATE:

Members of the Wood County Fire Investigation Team say the fire at C & W Welding has been ruled as accidental in nature. However, the cause is undetermined.

FIT member Mark Stewart says the fire caused $300,000 in damages. Stewart says there were several valuable vehicles in the garage.

A building burnt to the ground closing Emerson Avenue Thursday morning; now investigators are searching for answers.

The Waverly, Deerwalk, and Williamstown fire departments battled a structure fire at C & W Welding in Waverly a little after 8 a.m.

The Vienna Fire Department brought in their tower truck to help fight the flames.

Deerwalk Fire Chief Kim Marshall says the owner was present at the time of the fire, but no cause has been determined.

Chief Marshall says, "I'm a member of the fire investigation team, they have been called to the scene as well. As soon as we get the fire out, we will start the investigation into the origin and cause."

In all 25 to 30 firefighters were on hand to fight the inferno.

Emerson Avenue is now re-open.

The Waverly, Deerwalk, Vienna, and Williamstown Fire Departments are working to put out a fire on Emerson Avenue. Emerson Avenue is closed around the area of Ross Road. An ambulance is standing by, along with the Wood County Sheriff's Department, West Virginia State Police, and the electrical company.

Fire crews are on the scene of a fully engulfed structure fire at 15514 Emerson Avenue in Waverly. Wood County 911 dispatchers say it's a commercial building and the owner is on the scene. The call came into the 911 Center just after 8:00 Thursday morning and parts of the road are closed. There are no reports of injuries at this time.
