Why wait till the school year is abt over, this should be done all yr.But,in the summer folks drive with no consideration of the law. This is just not in one area but nation wide.Putting cameras on busses is good idea, but school boards need to have the backbone to enforce what goes on the film.Putting law enforcement on busses great idea, then they will generate more funds for their paycheck. Folks it is the law,bus drivers can't talkon cell phones while in bus, unless air brakes set.

How about cameras with the plate readers on them. That would stop alot these idiots. When the lights come on so do the cameras.

Great idea! People know the law, just don't seem to care. While you're at it, what about school crosswalks?

They need to watch the school cross walks. People pay no attention to the lights or the crossing guards.

I'm all for school bus safety and people observing the laws. Today, though, saw another side of the story. The school bus was stopped on Rt 7, letting kids off and the kids were well away from the bus. However, the bus was still stopped, lights flashing, because someone was standing by the side of the bus yakking at the driver. Traffic was backed up behind the bus with at least 50 cars in each lane. That is thoughtless and dangerous and not the driver's fault. The drivers give parents their phone numbers. Instead of parents talking to the driver when they are on the route, they should call them instead.
