Reporter: Allison Rhea

UPDATE: 5/4/12 3:00PM

Harley Pruitt, the victim of a vicious beating, died Friday afternoon in a Columbus hospital.

Deputies arrested Gary Wooten earlier this week and charged him with felonious assault.

That charge has been changed to murder.

Wooten is being held on a $50,000 bond at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.

Sheriff's officials say witnesses told them it all went down at a Chauncey home.

They said after Pruitt and Wooten exchanged words, the situation escalated into a fist fight.
