Non-Christians also know that they are not perfect. The difference I see between Christians and Non-Christians is that *some* Christians think they have the only answer. (Yet among Christians even that single answer is often subject to disagreement.) What Anthony did was wrong, stupid, and unlawful, and his religious beliefs have nothing to do with it. I'll watch the aftermath with interest.

The county commissioners do not and should not have the power to remove the sheriff from office. They do have power over the funds provided for that office which would effectively get desired results. The county attorney should have the answers.

One of the "good ole boys" voted into an office that surely the people of that county could have found someone a little brighter than this bimbo for sheriff?

Praise baby Jesus that Sheriff Anthony was able to shoot that rabid spider monkey before it leaped out of the tree and bit the boy. The real danger here is people with exotic pets that turn them loose because they don't want to take care of them anymore. I don't care how bad the economy gets, DON'T TURN YOUR EXOTIC PETS LOOSE!

Luke, it may be the Lord's will that he didn't shoot the child and the Lord's will that he was arrested before anyone was hurt. I am a Christian, too, but that doesn't make us perfect - only difference between us and non-Christians is we know we aren't perfect and need a savior. Hope this guy gets help for his problem, but having a job where he carries a gun and is in a position of authority probably isn't the best thing. Glad the child or anyone else wasn't hurt. Whether he was shooting in anger or in proving his awesome marksmanship doesn't matter. He could have killed someone either way.

the sad part of this is we have alot of bad cops in wv who dont have common sense that give the good cops a bad name, i have to give it to the two cops who had the courage to turn this in, thank you for caring

I'm pretty sure God frowns upon endangering children Luke. I am very sure the voting public does. A good Christian man wouldn't be drinking, let alone drink to the point of making such a deadly decision. Alcohol impairs, he could just as easily have killed the kid. Pretty sure God wouldn't be patting his back and saying there, there, it's ok. Read your bible some more before posting that this is good Christian behavior. Good Christians don't drink, and dang sure don't aim and fire weapons toward children. It's not Christian behavior, it's not law enforcement behavior and it's not Man behavior. It's loser with a badge bully behavior.

As far as I know, God has stated his will in the Bible. I don't think it specifically deals with this knucklehead shooting his gun over the head of a child. Book, chapter, and verse man!
