Apparently my comment wasn't nice enough to be posted. I understand, I don't have anything nice to say to the BELPRE NEIGHBORS!!! Who do you think you are? While you judge, and want rid of noise and the natural order of things, like a dog chasing deer, you BELPRE are truely showing how unkempt and disgusting you are! While your so happy those dogs aren't barking, I hope the grief of an obviously caring families heartbreak is loud enough to keep you up at night! And you live on a farm? Wow, I hope you don't have animals on that farm! If so, maybe due to your true neglect, those animals should be taken from you! It's not all about the Benjamin's BELPRE!! WOOF WOOF!!!

I am fostering one of these dogs, she is beautiful and very sweet. I am not going to judge the people who had them, it doesnt matter what we think, we just need to show them the love they deserve, whether we think they were already getting it or not. Being socialized and able to walk on a leash is also part of taking care of a dog. Sometimes you can love something but not be able to care for it fully, and individually.

The shelter if full because the adoption rate is too high and you have to wait forever to get your application approved.

We do mind our own business, but we will not let these dogs invade our property and harass our wildlife for years without getting upset!!!!!!!

Just can't help myself - in refference to the comment that the dog taken initially. To the best of my knowledge a rub on the neck does not usually require being rushed to the emergency vet. The owners never reported the dog missing. So one would have to assume that it was not missed.
From my earlier rant. It comes down to the expectation of being able to enjoy ones own property and not have to fear or be bothered by others actions. No respect was ever shown me. All i want is to not be bothered or burdened by these people and their lifestyle. Fair enough? Now go on and tell me me how I just don't know what good people they are and just don't understand. I applaud the authorities for their recent actions. But admit to being stunned that any animals remain in the Lancasters care.

Sorry she could not have children, I could understand one or two but did she really need 60 dogs because she could not have children?

Hey Kayla. How long do you think property owners should put up with packs of dogs running deer on their farms ?? Have you ever seen a pack of dogs chase a deer? Not a pretty sight! I have watched these wild dogs usually 3 to 5 in a pack chase deer to the point that the deer had to lay down with its tongue hanging out ready to die. I have never shot a dog or wanted to shoot one, but in this case only because i had a bow and they were to far away.If i had had a gun their would have a few less to worry about!!!!

To the family and supporters of the Lancasters. Over the years these dogs have chased MY children from the bus stop. Have chased and attacked MY cattle. Have run deer and every other wild animal in the area. Every day a pack of 6 to 12 of these dogs ran at will over my property. Trash from their property ended up on my property. Junk and general garbage from them migrated to My property. Many times I asked them to remove it. Nothing happened. When asked them to reign in the animals, nothing happened. I was forced to pick up the junk. To deal with the roar of barking. The stench of feces in the summer. I put up at my expense woven wire fence to try n slow the dogs daily runs. They have had a water leak at their driveway for over 2 years. It is my pasture that stays wet creating problems for me. I had to leave a buffer of trees instead of clear n create more pasture because i did not want to have to look at the mess. These are some of what my family and myself have had to deal with. Every year the dog catcher was contacted and every year a patch was placed over this problem. I pay my taxes, the mortgage, do the work to maintain my property. No, I do not subscribe to your assertion that I need to shut up and mind my own business. On a daily occurance these animals were in the road. The screech of car tire was common. Some dogs were hit. People on horseback, motorcycle, walking or just driving have been in jepordy. So you see the impact was not just restricted to adjacent landowners. So for those who support the Lancasters, please do. Quit jawing and help them. But dont you dare tell me to suck it up and mind my own business. Their actions have forced it to be my business. Thank you. Now go have yourself a good day :)
