Parkersburg Homecoming Parade

The annual parade kicked off Saturday at noon.

Local politicians, dancers, and organizations walk and ride their way down Market Street.

Hundreds line up for the yearly event to get a look at some of the entertainment and stock up on sweets.

It's family fun for young and old.

"We love the parade!"

What are you excited to see today?

"The cheerleaders." SAYS Ambryauna.

What's your favorite part about the parade?

"Candy!" says Elise.

Have you been before?

"Yes. A couple of times."

Are you looking forward to any floats or people?

"Cheerleaders and some of my friends."
