Southbound Lane of I-77 Closed Near Mineral Wells

Bad news if you have to drive near Mineral Wells Wednesday, expect traffic delays.

Interstate 77 south is closed to traffic while crews repair damage.

West Virginia Department of Highway crews shut down a portion of I-77 south around noon Wednesday.

A DOH engineer says it's because of a hole in the deck of the City Beer overpass bridge near Mineral Wells; right around milepost 165.

The lane is expected to be closed throughout the evening, but expected to reopen by Thursday morning's commute.
