The "Pride of Williamstown"
Posted: $util.date("h:mm a MMM d, yyyy",$story.contentLiveDate,$timeZone)
Reporter: Kirk Greenfield
For years, those who volunteer to make Williamstown a better place, frequently have not received recognition.
That changed Tuesday evening.
The "Pride of Williamstown" awards are designed to give recognition to those who have put in long hours above and beyond the call of duty.
Bernard Mullenix and Gene Duncan are the first two recipients for their work on projects like the new city pool.
They each received a proclamation from Mayor Jean Ford and city council.
In other news, the Williamstown city pool will open again Wednesday, after storm debris was cleared from the pool and pumps are operational again.
