In this week's edition of the Mid-Ohio Valley's Most Wanted we have for you an Ohio man, wanted for two Strong-Armed Robberies in Washington County.
Captain Jon Coppernoll with the Washington County Sheriff's Office says in the early morning hours of July 23 Anthony Nichols II entered the Par Mar in Barlow and the Country Corner Store in Bartlett, forced his way behind the counters and held the clerks in a choke hold.
Nichols then allegedly took money from the registers.
Captain Coppernoll says the car Nichols got away in was spotted Thursday in Morgan County.
He says Nichols led a sheriff's deputy on a chase there, but he got away.
"We believe that he is a suspect in a similar incident in Muskingum county, up in Zainesville, where a knife was brandished. So, we would urge everyone to know that he may be armed and should be considered dangerous," says Captain Coppernoll, Washington County Sheriff's Department: .
Captain Coppernoll believes Nichols could be in the Washington, Morgan, Muskingum, or Athens county area.
Officials say Nichols might be receiving help from relatives in the area.
The picture you see in the attached video is an older picture of Nichols.
Officials say he is now clean shaven with short hair.
So, if you have any information on where Nichols could be, please call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 740-376-7070, extension 0.
