George Ruble Jr. has been captured by the Parkersburg Police. His charges were reduced to Joyriding.
In this week's edition of the Mid-Ohio Valley's Most Wanted we have for you a Parkersburg man wanted on charges of Violating a Domestic Violence Order, Battery and Grand Larceny.
Parkersburg Police Chief Gerald Board says on Monday officers responded to a 15th Street home where they say George Ruble Jr. choked and beat the mother of his child.
Chief Board says Ruble was already wanted on a separate Domestic Violence charge for an incident with the same woman.
In fact, Ruble had been ordered by a court to stay away from her.
"He's probably still in this area, we believe he is, so we'd like to get this taken care of as soon as possible because she's pretty shook up and in fear of her safety," says Chief Gerald Board, Parkersburg Police
Captain Delmas Barker says when Ruble was leaving the victim's home, he committed another crime.
"Then he went to her car that was parked on 14th Street, told the passenger to get out, started the car and left," says Captain Barker, Parkersburg Police.
Barker says that the stolen car has since been recovered in Ritchie County, but Ruble has still not been found.
Police believe Ruble could be in the Belpre or Wood County area.
