In this week's edition of the Mid-Ohio Valley's Most Wanted we have for you a Parkersburg woman wanted for Forgery and Uttering.
Sergeant Greg Nangle with the Parkersburg Police Department says in April of 2009, Linda Lou Smith, cashed a check for $2,500 at an area bank.
Sergeant Nangle says the check belonged to an acquaintance of Smith's who recently died.
He says crimes like this one happen more often than you may think.
"Forging and utterings are common, but in a situation like this, where the check holder has passed away, that is somewhat uncommon," says Sergeant Nangle, Parkersburg Police.
Sergeant Nangle believes Smith is still in the Parkersburg area.
So, if you have any information on where Linda Lou Smith could be, please call the Parkersburg Police Department at 304-424-8444.
