A man who's been on the run from Wood county law enforcement for over a year, has been arrested in Mason county.
Information about a stolen SUV from Kentucky, at a home in Point Pleasant, led Mason County Sheriff's deputies to 36-year-old Timothy Triplett who was apparently hiding behind a bed in the back of the house.
The Meigs county resident is an escapee from Wood county and is also reportedly wanted in Ohio, Kentucky, and Arkansas.
Triplett was featured on Mid-Ohio Valley's Most Wanted in June of 2009 for escaping home confinement which he was ordered to for a drug conviction.
Police said while on confinement Triplett sexually assaulted a 15-year old girl and when he caught wind of the investigation ran away.
Triplett has been arrested for transporting stolen items into the state and is being held at the Western Regional Jail on a $10,000 bond.
The Parkersburg Police Department is looking for information on Tim Triplett, wanted for escaping home confinement after officials say he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.
Sergeant Greg Nangle says Triplett has been on home confinement for a drug conviction and about a week and a half ago, while he was still on confinement, he allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.
He says when Triplett caught wind of the investigation, he ran away and police have not been able to find him since.
Now, Sergeant Nangle believes Triplett could be in Portland, Ohio or the Parkersburg area..
So, if you have any information on where Triplett could be, please call the Parkersburg Police Department at 304-424-8444.
