Organizer Karla Cale's son Michael died several years ago, and she says it's a way to honor his memory and provides a support system for parents.
"When you've lost a child you'll see people and they'll say I don't know how you feel or how you're doing and it's so nice to look around and you know that everyone that's here is remembering someone who has passed, someone who's no longer here and they're all going through the exact same thing that you are," says Cale.
It's a yearly gathering on the second Sunday of December. Organizers invite anyone to come next year and join in the tradition to honor loved ones.
