Ten of West Virginia's school-business partnerships will be honored by Governor Wise at a special ceremony this week, and Worthington Elementary School in Wood County is one of the lucky winners!
The governor will recognize the school and its partner in education, SBR Woodcraft Supply Corporation, for their excellent partnership.
Officials say their unique projects, like the new playground and computer lab, got the attention of the Education Alliance.
The state will donate $1,000 to the school for receiving the honor.
Principal Rose Mary Stull says they'll use the money to buy books for the students.
