With the chilly temperatures, it's a blessing to be able to have a warm house and roof over your head.
But many families in the valley don't have a place to call home.
The Habitat for Humanity is looking to change that just in time for winter.
One deserving family is a step closer in having a place to call home.
On Sunday, Habitat dedicated a home to the Sims family.
Executive Director Alvin Phillips says that the house is a world of hope.
"I think every one of our houses brings hope. Even houses that a family has applied and been approved and been waiting for a year, year in a half. They contend to have a better life for their family," says Phillips.
This is Habitat for Humanity of Wood County's 63rd home.
