WVU-Parkersburg could soon be getting a new building.

Spokesperson Connie Dziagwa confirms to WTAP News a memorandum of understanding has been signed between West Virginia University and the Gaiker Foundation in Spain to build a new facility for polymer studies at WVU-P.

She says it's a WVU Morgantown deal, but since there are no polymer industries in Morgantown, and Parkersburg has these types of industries, the facility would be located on the campus of WVU Parkersburg.

There's no word yet on when construction would begin.
